Q: What's the difference between Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) and Decal Vinyl?

A: Heat Transfer Vinyl is used with a heat press to apply to fabric.  Decal Vinyl has a sticky backing and is applied to hard surfaces.

Q: What setting should I use to cut my Heat Transfer Vinyl?

A: Cut settings will be determined by the type of vinyl and the machine you are using to cut the vinyl.

Q: Which side of my Heat Transfer Vinyl do I cut?

A:  Our price tag is always on the side to of the vinyl that goes down on the mat

Q: What temperature should I set my heat-press when pressing my Heat Transfer Vinyl?

A:  Heat press should be set between 305° and 310°.  Press for 5 seconds remove the carrier sheet and press for 5 more seconds. 

Q: Does Taylored Vinyl have heat presses available for use in the store?

A:  Yes, we have a heat press available at the store for you to use for $1 per item.

Q: Are the shirts specific for men and women or are they unisex?

A: The majority of shirts in our store are unisex.  We do carry Ladies tank tops in the summer time.

Q: Does Taylored Vinyl offer classes?

A: Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer classes. 

Q: Does Taylored Vinyl make T-Shirts?

A: No, we just help YOU make T-Shirts better!  Of course, that really is the point of our store, to provide you with the materials, ideas and motivation to craft to your full potential.

Q: What does DTF stand for?

A: DTF stands for Direct to Film.  

Q: What is a DTF Transfer?

A: DTF transfers are the latest and greatest way to create an awesome design for your shirt.  They are printed in full color at no extra cost.
